Highfields & Districts Railway Cricket Club invites all past and present members, especially our Old Boys and Girls, to join us for Day 2 of the Student Bulldog Shield – a match steeped in history and club pride.

This annual fixture holds deep significance for both clubs, thanks to Bob Harding, a true pioneer of local cricket. Bob was HDRCC’s first-ever A Grade captain in 1961 and later became Uni’s first A Grade captain in 1975. His leadership and passion for the game helped shape both clubs, and his donation of the Student Bulldog Shield ensures that this tradition continues to thrive. This year, members of Bob’s family will be attending to honor his legacy.

Match Situation – The Stage is Set

Day 1 was a rollercoaster! HDRCC fought hard to post 135 all out, and in a fiery final session, our bowlers struck back, leaving Uni teetering at 4-18 at stumps. A thrilling finish is on the cards, and our A Grade side needs your support to bring the Shield home!
