HDRCC Special Meeting – Life Membership Nomination

The HDRCC Special Meeting – Life Membership Nomination, held on March 26, 2025, was convened to discuss the urgent need for a life membership nomination ahead of the upcoming end-of-season banquet. Prompted by the recent passing of a club life member and a gap in nominations this season, the meeting brought together key club stakeholders to review potential nominees, evaluate life membership criteria, and ensure appropriate recognition of long-serving club contributors.

During the meeting, participants reflected on the club’s history of life membership awards, reaffirming that recipients should demonstrate long-term, selfless service and a deep commitment to the club community—both on and off the field. After in-depth discussion, Peter Spencer was unanimously nominated and approved for life membership, recognising over two decades of playing, leadership, volunteering, and club spirit.

The group also discussed additional ways to formally acknowledge other valuable club members, including the introduction of a Bulldog Medal or Bulldog Pin to honour volunteers who go above and beyond. The meeting also touched on banquet logistics, catering arrangements, and the recognition of the club’s first-ever women’s premiership team.

This special meeting reflected the club’s commitment to honouring its past, supporting current contributors, and building a strong, connected future.
